Vertical extension in Berlin, 2023, ongoing

Addition of two floors to typical pre-war housing in Berlin, Germany, in collaboration with plot Architektur. The constrained situation at the rear of a courtyard leads to simple linear plans and long balconies for the two new duplex units. Cross-laminated timber is employed for the structure.
